As part of the energy renovation of the single-family home, it was decided to install the photovoltaic system on the house façade rather than on the roof. This was necessary because the roof structure does not provide sufficient load-bearing capacity for the planned solar system. The façade installation enables efficient use of the available space and helps to increase the energy efficiency of the house.

  • Requirements

The photovoltaic system was to be mounted on the house facade, with particular emphasis placed on an aesthetically pleasing design. The modules were intended not only to be functional but also to integrate harmoniously with the building’s architectural concept.

  • Technical Implementation

The 8 kWp photovoltaic system consists of full-black design modules from AIKO Solar, which, in combination with the Novotegra substructure for facade mounting, ensure a visually seamless integration into the building's facade. The SMA inverter and the BYD battery storage with 7.7 kWh provide approximately 70% energy self-sufficiency throughout the year. The system is complemented by clean edge finishes and an insect protection mesh to ensure a durable and low-maintenance solution.
