Berlin townhouses optimized with PV system, storage & fire safety – maximum energy efficiency & IBB subsidy for every private home.

  • Requirements

More Energy Efficiency in Private Homes with a Smart PV Solution. In a modern townhouse development in Berlin, a well-planned photovoltaic system with battery storage was installed to maximize energy efficiency in every private home. The PV system was primarily placed on the southwest-facing roof sections, using as many modules as possible. Additional modules were installed on the northeast side to capture morning sunlight and increase overall output. This approach not only boosted performance but also enhanced the IBB subsidy amount for the battery storage.

  • Technical Implementation

Fire Safety and Building Regulations in Focus: the installation on the townhouses had to comply with local building regulations—especially maintaining the required minimum distance to property boundaries. High-quality glass-glass solar modules were used, offering enhanced fire safety ratings, making them ideal for densely built areas like townhouse developments. The project covered a total of four houses: two mid-terrace and two end-terrace homes.
